File Permissions Sanity Check
by mdeering from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5N48F)
I have a home volume which is used by about 100 different people to deposit files. The other day it was brought to my attention that users can traverse to other directories which is concerning. This would be a fairly easy noob fix, but I have one user that needs read/write access to every folder to collect files.
Would I be wise to put this one user in its own group and make the permissions drwxrwx---?
