SAMBA -- why is it a nightmare to setup a simple shared folder???

Please first check my screenshot here:

The left side shows my client computer trying to access the shared folder.
The right side shows the server (local SSH connection) with status of the samba service and configuration of smb.conf

I have 2 computers in the same network 192.168.88.x (yes they can see each other, i can RDP and SSH locally to the server)
1. Ubuntu server 20.04 where i need to share a folder "DC"
2. My Mint linux laptop where i am trying to access the shared folder on the server.

What i did so far...:

1. Follow the USELESS official guide for SAMBA here: https://ubuntu.com/server/docs/samba-file-server

There they give 3 commands to get everything set, including the automatic option to link the local users with the samba users database as i am trying to share the folder with the local user password.
I followed the steps there and it does not work.

2. Follow 3 different youtube tutorials. Each tutorial has different options and configurations from the others.. so i am just trying my luck to see what may work but so far i can not connect to the shared folder as shown in the screenshot.

I am showing my smb.conf file with the options i got from the last tutorial i was following.

I DO restart the samba service each time i try changes in the configuration (sudo systemctl restart smbd.service nmbd.service
)
I did try smb://192.168.88.100/DC too..

I feel so frustrated, pretty much ANYTHING i want to do in Linux is playing trial and error until sometimes things can get setup, leaving me full of doubts and guesses on how i was finally able to make them work.

Can someone steer me in the right direction?

I need to share the folder in the server. Both the server and the client computers have the same user with he same password. I am trying to share the folder with restriction so no other guests can access the files on the network. (in the screenshot i have "guest ok = yes" but i was just testing to see if i could at least connect to it after the previous failed attempts)
