Nothing works and no one knows why ?

Well the title should describe Ubuntu in a nutshell at least for me.

I installed Ubuntu 20 two days ago and installed some software I need following all "setup guides" to the point.

Directly I encountered some problems with the "clean install" that I have to say is pure bugs in Ubuntu. but mainly three problems are specially annoying..

1 the "Super key" do not work at all as described. Most likely since I use Swedish Language in my setup and the Swedish keyboard. I have no idea why it do not work in my setup.

2 My printer are not working at all hangs and giving "errors" even that I followed the instructions to the point using Brothers own instructions for Linux Debian setups/files.

3 The built in system for DLNA kind of "works" but drops the connection after exactly 30 minutes of watching a video (Very annoying when doing a presentation on a screen)

------------------------------------------------------------------
Hardware problem 1

Background is that I have not changed ANY of the .cfg files (yet) only installed packages via apt or via the "Store" so everything SHOULD WORK or what ? well it does not and now I turning for some help.

Most important first.. Why the F*CK! don't the printer work ?

The printer is a brand new brother HL-L2350DW plain B/W laser printer.(the canon I had before din not work either in a clean setup so printer setups seems to be a BIG issue with ubuntu. Many friends also have given up in getting ANY printer to work with Ubuntu and might very well be a reason to quit using Ubuntu in all, it just won't work at all.

I will try to explain my install in the freshly installed Ubuntu 20

Downloaded the files from Brother making sure it was the right ones.

(the printer show up before any software where installed but did not respond to any printing from any software so I decided to install the brother supplied files.

I started with the file "linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.2-2.gz" Unpacked it and ran it with "sudo bash linux-brprinter-installer-2.2.2-2"

In the setup dialogue i choose the IP number option that in my case are 192.168.8.120
installing gave the error of "cups NOT INSTALLED" (are cups not installed from the start in a fresh instalment of ubuntu ?) So I went on and installed the "hll2350dwpdrv-4.0.0-1.i386.deb" that suppose to be a driver for the above printer supplied by Brother.

I got a small window referring to the software store clicking on the file and it seemed to install. After that I ran the setup again. And choose "test print" at the end. Surprise. nothing printed.

I Restarted my computer and. Launched Libre office writer and try to print, Nothing.

I get a requester "printer error" Brother HL-L2350DW connecting-to-device error.

Log say "/etc/udev/rules.d/60-brother-libsane-type1-inst.rules:14 Invalid key 'SYSFS'"
priority 3

Pinging the printer at 192.168.8.120 works fine and the printer shows if I log in to the router. Also the printer itself say it's "ready". Printer is only connected by Wi-Fi computer by Ethernet cable in to the local network in my home.

--------------------------

Hardware problem two..are the playing of video files from a TV set.

Files are all default and I have the base setup directory's "Music,Pictures, video" files I put in there shows up in my DLNA TV set fine and can be started.. If I start a 2hr video it only plays 30 minutes.. after that.. the Computer ikon showing my ubuntu computer vanish If I restart the DLNA on the TV it is there again and I can play another 30 minutes before it all happens again..

To me it looks like there is some kind of timer shutting off perhaps a DHCP lease time for the DLNA. I checked my router and tried playing files from a windows setup and the problem are only happening when I use the UBUNTU setup. I also tried to play files from my routers DLNA built in system and that also works fine so it HAVE to be something with the server in UBUNTU that is causing this 30 minutes shut down problem. Or is the media server restricted to only 30 minutes displaying by the author ? I belive the "Rygel" software is a part of the media server but when looking at the .cfg file I do not find any thing that looks like a time limit of any kind exept for the show picture 15 seconds thing..

I would really appreciate some guiding on how to resolve my problems, and I am quite surprised that this pretty much basic things don't work in an fresh setup, where no configuration files have been "Messed with" only following the on screen installation advices.

I do use a VPN and of course I tested all of this without the VPN on (local network are whitelisted in the VPN service also)
And that's the printer problems.

I also would like tips on how to trace my problems and what software files are affecting the printer and video problems I have. I have tried to monitor happenings through the system monitor and from "logs" but don't get much info that way.
