Oakville cyclist hospitalized with serious injuries in hit-and-run crash

A cyclist has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.

Halton Regional Police responded to the collision on Lakeshore Road and Strathcona Avenue late Thursday (Aug. 19).

Halton Region Paramedics say the cyclist was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police made an arrest a short time later and are expected to charge the female driver of the Jeep.
