Login Loop XFCE
by mikedelo from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5NM22)
Looking for some help please.
Yesterday, like an idiot, I deleted my boot partition on my laptop. Following the steps in the web site below, I downloaded the ISO of MX Linux from their website and made a live USB and repaired the boot partition.

Now, the only desktop environment I can log into is GNOME; I have always used XFCE. When I select XFCE from the login screen, I am brought right back to the login screen.
How can I fix this issue? Please help!
