dropbox install problem in Debian 11 | SOLVED
by mike acker from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5NMXH)
In testing my install of Debian 11 it seems like I've run into a conflict between keepassx and dropbox :
on attempting to install keepassx the package manager insisted on removing the dropbox ( local sync client ) .
I let it go ahead and it did exactly that.
Not good: I need both packages.
If I remember rightly: the Debian-11 package manager ( new and improved ) -- did not include the dropbox package. Therefore I used the download thatdropbox provides on its web page.... but: Ubuntu version.... maybe close: Ubuntu is Debian based.
UPDATE:

It did install but with errors..... although it seems to run OK anyway. ( I did have to provide my own start command ) .
The keepassx install then removed dropbox, -- but worked OK.
thinking ahead I simply re-installed dropbox and it looks like I've got by with that. ( this is all on the research box anyway ) .
has anyone found a resolution to this little conflict ?
hopefully :)

dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of dropbox: dropbox depends on libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.36.3); however: Package libpango1.0-0 is not installed. |
