Hamilton police investigating West 18th Street shooting

Hamilton police are investigating a shooting on the Mountain overnight.

Police were called for reports of gunshots around 3 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24 on West 18th Street, between Mohawk Road West and Sanatorium Road.

There were no reported injuries.

When officers arrived they secured the area, however, anyone involved had already fled.

A police presence is expected in the area Tuesday.

The shooting is being investigated by detectives from the Mountain criminal investigation branch.
