Canada won its third consecutive game at the Women's World Hockey Championship, dispatching Switzerland 5-0 on Tuesday.

The lopsided contest was scoreless after 20 minutes, but Canada exploded for four goals in the second period and added one in the final frame to earn a convincing victory.

Emily Clark, Jaime Bourbonnais, Natalie Spooner, and Melodie Daoust scored for the Canadians. Spooner was named Canada's player of the game following a two-goal performance.

Shots were 63-12 in favor of the Canadians.

Canada's next contest comes Thursday against the United States. Both teams are undefeated, so the winner will secure top position in Group A heading into the quarterfinals.
