Titans place Tannehill on COVID-19 list
The Tennessee Titans placed quarterback Ryan Tannehill on the COVID-19 list, the team announced Thursday.
Tannehill will need two negative tests over a two-day span or will face a 10-day quarantine, general manager Jon Robinson said, according to John Glennon of Broadway Sports.
Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is quarantining after testing positive on Sunday.
Robinson announced that tight end Geoff Swaim and linebacker Justin March-Lillard are also being placed on the COVID-19 list, taking Tennessee's total number of players on the reserve group to seven.
Tannehill criticized the NFL in late July for its strict protocols for unvaccinated players. The signal-caller said he was getting vaccinated only because of pressure from the league.
"I wouldn't have gotten the vaccine without the protocols that they are enforcing on us," said Tannehill. "I think it's a personal decision for each of us. They are trying to force our hands and ultimately have forced a lot of hands by the protocols. It is what it is."
Tannehill put together a career year last season, throwing for 3,819 yards and 33 touchdowns against seven interceptions.
