Font change

After installing today's updates (Sun Aug 29 18:23:50 UTC 2021) I built the 5.14.0 kernel and everything runs fine. However I notice that when booting (from grub) the tty screen font has gotten fairly large and changed from the much more pleasing smaller font that I have seen for years. I've tried finding what changed but can't pinpoint it. I'm sure that the fix is trivial but so far it has eluded me. Where is the font set that one sees during boot after the initrd has loaded and booting starts scrolling on the screen? Can someone please point me in the right direction? Many thanks.
