Seq24 Midi Clock Signal Malfunction

Hi I tried this question on linux Musicians and I also emailed the developer but he didn't reply. I am using seq24 to drive an external drum machine with the clock signal being sent through a midi port but when I set seq24 to 120 bpm the drum machine plays back at a tempo of 72 bpm. How can I fix this so I can set my drum machine as a midi slave and use all its features and hook up the arppegiators on my synths, thanks.
