K.J. Wright signing 1-year deal with Raiders
Former Seattle Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright is signing a one-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, he confirmed to reporter Josina Anderson.
Wright spent the first 10 seasons of his career with the Seahawks before visiting the Raiders as a free agent last month. He will reunite with Gus Bradley, who coached him in Seattle before joining Las Vegas as defensive coordinator this year.
The Raiders have been actively shopping the linebacker market recently. In addition to Wright, the club also recently acquired Denzel Perryman in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. Like Wright, Perryman also had prior experience playing for Bradley.
Wright has started 140 games and earned one Pro Bowl selection since the Seahawks drafted him in the 4th round of the 2011 draft. The linebacker has logged 941 career tackles, six interceptions, and 13.5 sacks.
The 32-year-old appeared in all 16 games last campaign, registering 86 tackles, 11 TFL, and one interception.
