KDE5 volume widget long-pressing behavior problem with Firefox
by Francexi from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5P7GM)
Hi there, I'm running slackware-current with multilib. I noticed that the KDE volume widget that appears when volume control keys are used (like the ones in notebook) behaves weirdly when a Firefox window is focused: if you long-press the key, instead of changing rapidly the volume step by step until the key is released, it does only one or sometimes two steps then stop. So, if I want to change the volume while Firefox is focused, I need to do multiple pressing of the volume keys.
This happens always if Firefox is focused, whether it's playing any media or not. Also, this happens ONLY IF firefox is focused: in other situations, this not happens, both with firefox running and not.
I'm also pretty sure is not something version related, since this is a long time problem I have, that only now I decided to do a bit of troubleshooting.
I'm also opening a ticked on the bug tracker of Mozilla, but not knowing if this is a problem caused by Firefox itself, or some weird sketchy interaction with KDE5, i thought to also ask here some opinions.
Any further idea to do some troubleshooting?
