Wired & wireless configuration problem

I want to configure wired network for printers and wireless for Internet access, but when I connect both, my Internet access goes down and when I disconnect my wired cable it comes back to normal. How can I configure the network settings to avoid this? The distros I'm using are Peppermint and Linux Mint
