sleep / suspend - xscreensave
by alex4buba from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5PASC)
I am still new in the Linux world, have just finished a fresh installation of KDE Neon Plasma 5.22.5.
All wen well, except - all my power management setup is NOT working, I tried everything. my machine doesn't go to sleep. While trying, I also tested some command line options, including this :
Code:systemctl status systemd-suspend.serviceAt best, I managed to get it to sleep, and within 3 secondes, something is waking it up again.
Then, one suggestion was to use : xscreensaver
This works just fine, but:
1) It turns OFF the screen, but the actual machine remains ON
2) What is the "Magic" that the xscreensave programmer knows, but the people at KDE don't?
Any suggestions will be appreciated
Thanks
Alex
