installing xubuntu om Asus tablet 203N

I hope this is the correct forum. I am an eternal newbie in that I just use the computer --threw out intrusive, bloated Microsoft for Linux Xubuntu. I can/could use my USB drive on the tablet, but when I tried to install it kept crashing at different steps. My best was when it got to the last feature and then hung. So, my question: is it possible to install linux on an ex-Windows 10 Asus tablet? I say "ex" because I uninstalled and deleted everything to do with Windows [thought I was home dry with Linx].
There is nothing wrong with the USB --- it passes the vetting each time; besides, I used it to install xubuntu on my desktop. I was so happy when I could use the USB because I thought the next step to install permanently would be simple and automatic....
