LaFleur doesn't think Rodgers' offseason drama affected Packers in Week 1
Matt LaFleur shot down the possibility that offseason drama involving Aaron Rodgers played a part in the Green Bay Packers' struggles in Week 1.
"No. This team's focused on now," the head coach said, according to NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano. "Unfortunately, sometimes in this league you get humbled. We got humbled."
The Packers were blown out in their 2021 season opener, losing 38-3 to the New Orleans Saints. Rodgers noticeably struggled, accumulating just 133 yards and two interceptions. He failed to throw a touchdown and finished with a 36.8 passer rating. Jordan Love relieved the veteran late in the contest.

The 37-year-old chalked up the loss to his team's overconfidence.
"We probably felt like we were going to go up and down the field today on whoever was out there, and that didn't happen," Rodgers said Sunday.
The 2020 MVP found himself in a standoff with the organization during the offseason due to a perceived lack of input on player personnel decisions and uncertainty over his future. He decided to return for 2021 shortly before training camp after the Packers agreed to explore his future following the season.
