I want to switch to Linux from windows

Ok I really want to switch to Linux. The only thing that is stopping me is the games and always have issues with my wifi not working. I'm not able to be hard wired so was wondering if I can still use Linux? I have a wifi pci e card so its plugged into my motherboard. Thanks for replying and helping :)

Would this adapter work with windows or do I need something else?
