The New Orleans Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire on the roof of the stadium, Emma Discher of Nola.com reports.
The Saints played their home opener in Jacksonville after Hurricane Ida ravaged the Louisiana area.
Cleaning crews were power washing the roof on Monday in preparation for it to be painted, according to Discher.
The Saints are planning to return home for their next home game on Oct. 3 against the New York Giants.
