Teotihuacan in its heyday was one of the largest cities in the world, supporting over 100,000 people in an 8-square-mile stretch of what is now Central Mexico. Now, a team of archaeologists have used an aerial scanning technology to see how the landscape was modified on a sweeping scale by the people who lived there.
