F35 Beta upgrade issue
by timl from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5PTVN)
Hi all,
this tutorial https://www.linuxquestions.org/quest...-a-4175700888/ tweaked my interest and I decided to upgrade a F34 VM to the beta.
This is the normal path I use to upgrade my Fedora boxes - one PC with 3 VMs underneath - although I haven't tried a beta in a while. Everything went to plan although I did not watch all of the final bit after "dnf system-upgrade reboot". This had reached 46% when I stopped watching. When I came back to the PC I was presented with the login prompt.
Whoops, when F35 comes up I attempt to login I get "Failed to Start Session". Same if I attempt to login as root. I should point out this is the GUI login.
I guess this is all part of the fun of the beta. For the record:
TIA

- F34 was up to date before the upgrade
- This is the xfce spin
- I'll also note that files were backed up - this VM has a minimal footprint so is easy recoverable.
TIA
