Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce believes LeBron James would've dominated as an NFL player if he pursued football over basketball.

James confirmed this week on ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast with Peyton and Eli Manning that he received offers to play for the Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks during the 2011 NBA lockout. The 17-time NBA All-Star "definitely thought about it" and still has the jerseys both teams sent him.

Kelce, an Ohio native like James, told TMZ Sports there's no doubt the Los Angeles Lakers star would've been a "problem" in the NFL.

"I think LeBron is one of the greatest athletes in the world, right? So I think his athleticism, how knowledgeable he is about the game of basketball, that you can tell how he plays," Kelce said. "He gets down to the scheme of things, and that's a lot about being a football player is understanding schemes and going out there and playing free and letting your athleticism show.

"I think 'Bron would have definitely been a problem on the football field, no doubt about it. Especially with the tight end room. That's the thing, us northeast Ohio guys, man. We're all-around athletes, you know? You can throw us in any sport and we'll have success."

Kelce, like many people, would've liked to see James make the transition from the NBA to the NFL.

"I think that's a question we all want to see, we all want to figure out, right? Whether or not he'd be able to do it," Kelce said. "Like I said, his athleticism - I think there's a few guys in the NBA that could make that transition, but him definitely being one of them."
