[SOLVED] Rare lock up - any program to check integrity of system?

After a rare lockup of my system, I was curious if there is a program or command in terminal to check the integrity of the system - perhaps the SDD....
I usually do an Alt+Print Screen and REISUB to escape a lockup, but this time that didn't work....
Really probably no big deal at all, but was curious if there was perhaps a GUI program to check the system...
