Optimizing Vmware Workstation 16
by MarkGreatrex from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5Q65X)
Hi Everyone.
Bit of background.
I'm a new user to linux and have just decided to make garuda dragonized my new daily distro and leave Windows except for the occasional virtual machine use or gaming. Ive been playing with ubuntu for a while and I've been trying for long time to make itunes work with wine. But garuda is the furthest i've ever managed to making it run.
Problem is that i couldn't sign into my itunes account so couldn't access my purchases(2fa doesnt seem to work and cant turn it off). So i thought i'd try and run Windows 10 in a virtual machine and try it that way. After a couple of fixes to get the internet and 3d acceleration to work in vmware i was able to log into my itunes account and view the videos. Success!
But my question is, are there any performance tweaks (best settings) anyone knows that i can make to vmware or linux to get the best performance from the virtual machine. Thanks in advance!!
