Delayed update for Arch distro and derivates
by Arny006 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5Q72T)
Hi guys,
rolling release, like Arch, Arco, Artix, Manjaro, etc. are great but if you want to make your own ISO e.g. to install the OS on ZFS-ROOT using `arch-iso` and `zfs` packages mostly didn't work.
The reason for that is that `arch-iso` and `zfs` are packaged and released even later than the `lts-kernel`.
That mean `arch-iso` and `zfs` are always older than the kernel because they come later out than the kernel same.
This is not only relevant for the building of own ISO but also crucial for the operation of OS after installation if you plane to use zfs-root.
My question is:
How can I postpone/delay the kernel update?
Or, how to let update the kernel according to actual `zfs-linux` and `zfs-linux-headers`?
Thanks in advance to everyone can contribute.
