Struggling to get wine working!
by duckwobble from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5Q7P8)
I'm trying to install an old favourite - Emperor Rise of the Middle Kingdom. I tried following various guides to install wine, I've got wine 5.0 and I think I've got gecko.
I've downloaded an .exe of the game, from this page:
https://www.dotslashplay.it/en/games/emperor
but struggling to follow those instructions, and when I try to just double click the .exe I can't find wine on the application list to open it, etc.
Tried installing wine 6.0 but not much luck with that either... I'm using lubuntu 20.04 but I keep getting what appear to be errors with the focal titles.
Any help would be appreciated - currently laid up in hospital and feel it's the perfect time to get nostalgic building roads and granaries :D
I also tried using the forum search but it seems that's a skill unto itself!
