Online Banking not supported in Linux
by andhrooy from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5Q8S9)
Some banks allow customers to use online banking services.
So if Linux is to become mainstream the Linux user should be able to do the things they can do in other operating systems.
One of those things is online banking.
When I looked at a banks website I saw this
"Alternative browsers and operating systems.
We don't support any beta versions or other alternative open source builds of the supported browsers. We also don't support alternative operating systems such as Linux. We're not saying Bank A Internet Banking won't work with these browsers or operating systems, however we don't currently have a formal quality assurance process for them."
Please Note: I have replaced the banks name with "Bank A"
Until Linux is accepted by Banks and other Government websites people who need to access online banking and Government sites seem to have no choice but to use the operating systems and browsers those sites support.
