Nothing pulls a dinner together as easily as lasagna.

Cheesy tender noodles covered in a delight of savoury sauce will make your gathering.

Lasagna is the hands down winner for every dinner whether it's the family, a large get-together, fresh or frozen. And, did you know that lasagna bolognese is just lasagna without ricotta cheese?

You know that it should be at least three layers thick, but who wants to toil making your own sauce, hand shredding cheese or creating handmade pasta?

Here are some hot spots in Hamilton to get a perfect hearty slab for your table.

  • Chicago Style - It comes in single servings of small and large but we know a large lasagna here will feed two to four people and run you around $25. Can't miss with the relentless sheets of pasta, mozzarella and rich meat sauce."   • Zarky's Fine Foods - Bolognese, Deluxe or Vegetable are all Zarky's Signature Entrees made in store from scratch. Fresh or frozen, your guests will eat it up. A slab here will cost you around $25. You can also pick up a dozen dinner rolls for a one-stop shop at one of three Hamilton locations.   • Valentinos Restaurant - You can grab a slab for a large gathering or order by the piece. Homemade pasta noodles. layered with sauteed ground beef, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Valentinos is in Westdale, 824 King St. W. and the east Mountain, 835 Paramount Dr. A family size tray will cost you around $32 and should handle 6-9 servings.   • Sweet Paradise - Offers an 11-pound catering slab of lasagna that cuts into about 20 pieces for around $80. Of course, if your group is smaller you can also choose from the individual menu. The Hamilton store is at 630 Stone Church Rd. W., open Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday until 7 p.m. 905-389-3487
