Suddently "Failed to start File System Check" on LENOVO T560 Notebook (Debian 9)
by floppy_stuttgart from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5QGF3)
Hello,
A family notebook is showing issues.
Not sure where it came from.
The notebook fall down? (and nobody say it to me.. ;-)
Is the HDD dead?
Was a root window open and somebody messed-up?
Something else happened?
Since this is a "junk" home PC for netflix spotify school-work etc. etc. its not easy to know what happens.
It boots but the whole /home/ is empty. In GPARTED, I see files in the "home" partition
(ext4) which was separated.
Any advice is welcome where to start for perhaps:
a) attaching again /home/
b) recovering the /home/ data
A photography is in the attachment and show the error coming at boot which make the notebook staying in text mode.
