Report: Edwards-Helaire out few weeks with MCL sprain
Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will miss a few weeks after suffering an MCL sprain in Sunday night's loss to the Buffalo Bills, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Edwards-Helaire was injured during an awkward tackle toward the start of the second half and needed assistance to walk off the field.
The sophomore leads the Chiefs with 304 rushing yards but has yet to find the end zone as a runner. He has two touchdowns and 61 yards as a receiver.
Darrel Williams will take over Kansas City's starting role in Edwards-Helaire's absence. He had five carries for 27 yards after stepping in on Sunday. The AFC West club also has former San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon as depth.
Star wide receiver Tyreek Hill sustained a minor knee injury against Buffalo but isn't expected to miss time, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
