Did anyone go further with LFS .. package managers , custom window management ?

Hello LQs , i recently finished Linux From Scratch aka LFS , and i'm looking for people who moved forward and running some custom windows management systems or any added security layers custom login routines ... i will be happy to discuss that and share ideas , i'm currently making my own kinda agetty hook .. to make login to my system pseudo-hard any ideas .. thanks in advance .
