Rain, rain, go away: Heavy rain to kick off the weekend in Hamilton
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement forecasting heavy showers and possible thunderstorms for Hamilton and other parts of southern Ontario.
The weather agency warns of an estimated 20 to 40 millimetres of rainfall in Hamilton, starting with showers Friday morning. Heavy rain is expected at times in the afternoon and evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to move across the region this afternoon through tonight as a low pressure system and associated cold front push through the region," Environment Canada said.
More rain is expected to continue through Sunday.
Daytimes temperatures are expected to top out at 20 C Friday, 14 C Saturday and 13 C Sunday.
