Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry will return to practice Friday following a three-game absence due to an MCL sprain, the team announced.

The Browns now have a 21-day window to activate Landry from injured reserve after designating him to return.

On Tuesday, Landry called himself "day-to-day" and suggested there was a chance he could suit up in Week 6.

"We've got three home games this next little turn, so it will be a perfect time somewhere in there if I can get back," Landry said, according to Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal. "At the end of the day, the team and myself and my camp, we're smart about the decisions about coming back or not and when that will be."

Cleveland is set to host the undefeated Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. If Landry is unable to play against Arizona, his next chance to return will be a Thursday night matchup with the Denver Broncos.

Landry had five catches for 71 yards in the Browns' season-opening loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He had one grab in Week 2 before exiting with a knee injury.

Cleveland scored 42 points in a close loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5, but with Odell Beckham Jr. struggling to make a consistent impact, Landry would provide a significant boost if he returns for the matchup with the high-flying Cardinals.
