VPN

Hello
I read many times on the web that VPN is important and useful bla bla bla.
At my level, would VPN be useful ?
All my data (documents prepared or received, either from friends or from the administration or else, excel sheets, everything is at the moment placed on an external DD - otherwise it is placed on the internal 1To DD that was crypted (I say "was" because it was dying and I removed it, I will replace it - therefore the data placed on the external DD will come back on the internal DD later).
Most of the times, I use TOR to access the web but sometime I use firefox. I access emails either on the web or via "evolution" or thunderbird.
I do not access emails on the mobile phone.
I access "Telegram"on the pc. I also go on YT or FB.
On the pc there is "duckduckgo privacy thing" (I use duckguckgo or lilo), also "adguard adblocker".
The cookies should be removed each time I stop internet, so each time I access the web, I have to go through the long process of accepting or refusing cookies.
So, the usefulness of VPN for someone like me ?
Thanks
Joelle
