Police investigate drive-by shooting on Lincoln Alexander Parkway
Hamilton police are investigating a drive-by shooting on the Mountain.
Police said in a media release officers were called to the Lincoln Alexander Parkway just before 3:30 p.m. Thursday for reports for a shooting.
When asked for a more precise location, Const. Krista-Lee Ernst would not provide The Spectator with additional details.
By the time officers arrived anyone involved had fled the scene, the release said. It also said police confirmed a shooting had taken place and that no injuries have been reported.
Ernst said police believe it was a targeted" shooting that happened from car to car," with a window being damaged in the gunfire.
The Division 3 criminal investigation branch has taken over the investigation.
Detectives are asking area residents or anyone who may have been travelling on the Linc on Oct. 14 between 3:15 p.m. and 4 p.m. to check their security and dash cameras for any suspicious activity.
Anyone with information is asked to contact acting Det. Sgt. Michael Hall at 905-546-3851.
