Suggestion for indicating whether forums have new posts

I noticed on the homepage that Linux Forums on LinuxQuestions.org that contain new posts have an icon with a tux penguin with a question mark and those that don't have new posts have an icon with a tux penguin without that question mark. Wouldn't it make more sense to just have an icon for one or the other? That way users and guests can quickly see which forums have new posts (an icon present would indicate new posts or not...you choose). They wouldn't see an tux on each forum and have to look for a question mark. They would just see a tux or not see a tux.

I don't know if this is the right word but it seems like the way things are now is redundant. Thank you for maintaining the LinuxQuestions forum. It has helped me.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=hpWJoCqwnG4:2ldQrB6dQp8:F7zBnMy latest?i=hpWJoCqwnG4:2ldQrB6dQp8:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=hpWJoCqwnG4:2ldQrB6dQp8:gIN9vFwhpWJoCqwnG4
