LVM2 and systemd
by drumz from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5QZKB)
As already reported LVM2 2.03.14 now depends on systemd in its udev rules.
This is the commit that made the breaking change:
https://sourceware.org/git/?p=lvm2.g...e14bd739c5c0f6
The old /lib/udev/rules.d/69-dm-lvm.rules file still exists in the source tree https://sourceware.org/git/?p=lvm2.g...les.in;hb=HEAD, but the above commit replaces it with a new version of the file. I don't know if there is a configure option to restore this old file.
I haven't reported to upstream as I don't have a Red Hat Bugzilla account.
