DeSean Jackson is looking for another team amid his slow start with the Los Angeles Rams.

Head coach Sean McVay announced Friday he's granted Jackson permission to seek a trade, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 34-year-old, who joined L.A. as a free agent in the offseason, has amassed only eight catches for 221 yards and one touchdown on 15 targets through seven appearances in 2021.

McVay said the three-time Pro Bowl pass-catcher won't play in Week 8 and "deserves the opportunity to see if there are better options out there for him," according to Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network.

The Rams are the fourth different team of Jackson's career. He's enjoyed time with the Philadelphia Eagles on two different stints (2008-13, 2019-20), Washington Football Team (2014-16), and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2017-18).

Jackson is most known for his speed and big-play potential. The former second-round pick, who's scored a 75-yard touchdown this year, has led the NFL in yards per catch on four occasions and averages 17.5 per reception throughout his career.

Any team trading for Jackson would acquire a player who has struggled to stay healthy, missing 24 regular-season games since 2019.
