printer doesn't print - usb selection unavailabe
by hedron from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5RCZ9)
Code:Connection: hp:/usb/Deskjet_3050A_J611_series?serial=CN14L3C3XB05PJNormally, there are three selections, the USB selection is the one I usually choose. But it is not there. Like: usb:/usb/Deskjet_3050A_J611_series?serial=CN14L3C3XB05PJ or similar. I forget the exact 'phrase.'
Today, I try to print. But for some reason it is not in the printer selection menu of libreoffice. So, I go into the cups interface, to delete the printer and restore it, but there is no USB selection. I try the other selection, and it seems to load fine, but I get "rendering complete" and the printer does not react one bit.
I tried hp-setup -i, but I don't see the usb: selection either.
I also try to do lp -P myprinter file.pdf but the same thing happens.
I deleted everything from /var/spool/cups /var/cache/cups /var/run/cups printer.conf. But same thing.
What do?
