Proxmox network configuration with two network cards
by ubkali from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5RD0Z)
Hi everyone, I have a problem and would like some help.
At the company I work for, we use two servers in each branch, one for managing the intranet (Running Ubuntu), and another for issuing notes and the database (Running Windows 7). This model has been working for a long time, long before I started working on it, but we are in the time of changing servers, and the board wants to reduce expenses.
So we thought about installing just one server, and virtualizing the other, in this case we're going to virtualize Windows.
In my search, I found Proxmox, installed it and managed to run the services we use on it, I even created a VM running Windows, so far so good. my current problem is, we use two network cards, one to receive the link from the provider, and another to leave the intranet.
I tried several possibilities, but I'm not able to make it work at all, both the network cards and the VM card, which is bridged.
I would like to know if it is possible to do this, and if anyone can help me!
First of all, please excuse my ignorance and thank you all for your help!
