kde rendered useless
by krakanut from LinuxQuestions.org on (#5RQG5)
Hello all -
something happened in the last few days which has rendered kde basically unusable. launching takes a long time and then after it comes up kwallet takes another minute or so to connect to wifi. if i click on system settings it freezes the whole desktop for 2 minutes. kde apps also take a long time to launch from fluxbox or xfce. it appears i am missing some critical components/libraries but not sure why.
I tried to reinstall all kde (slackpkg reinistall kde) and even went so far as to reinstall all slackware (slackpkg reinstall slackware64)
I am running slack current and am up to date on updates. machine is system76 lemur.
where are the kde logs on non-systemd os? any other things i can look into?
