CAUGHT ON CAMERA: OPP crash on Oakville QEW that injures 4 captured on dashcam video

Dashcam video has captured a nasty crash involving an OPP cruiser on the QEW in Oakville that caused massive traffic backups.

The OPP have yet to provide an update to Inside Halton on whether any charges have been laid in the Sept. 30 crash that occurred on the westbound QEW near Bronte Road.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said three vehicles were involved. It appears the OPP cruiser rear-ended a vehicle which then catapulted into a third vehicle in a chain reaction crash.

Four people, including an OPP officer, were taken to hospital with injuries, Schmidt said, non of which are considered life-threatening.
