California City Passes Highest Minimum Wage in US—Despite Objections from Business Leaders and Reality TV Star

Reality TV star Lisa Vanderpump was just one of the business leaders to warn the wage hike would have adverse economic consequences.

"I just implore you to really give this a lot of thought," said Vanderpump, a British restaurateur who has appeared on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, because I do believe if we raise the minimum wage now it's going to be counterproductive."
