Report: Brissett to start TNF vs. Ravens with Tagovailoa battling injury
The Miami Dolphins will start quarterback Jacoby Brissett against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football, sources told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network.
Brissett will replace Tua Tagovailoa, who continues to recover from a fractured finger. Tagovailoa will back up Brissett for the second straight week.
The 28-year-old Brissett struggled during Miami's lackluster victory over the Houston Texans in Week 9, completing 26 of 43 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown against two interceptions. He's posted a 1-3 record as a starter this season after joining the Dolphins as a free agent in the offseason.
Tagovailoa has struggled to stay healthy since being drafted fifth overall last year. The 23-year-old has already missed three games in 2021 due to a rib injury suffered in Week 2.
The 2-7 Dolphins currently sit last in the AFC East.
