All USB devices stopped working at the same time

All my USB devices stopped working at the same time this evening. I turned each off then back on again. I took them off the hub and connected them directly. None of that helped. I unloaded all their modules then reloaded them, which did. I found hundreds of Quote:
in /var/log/messages and a bunch of Quote:
in /var/log/syslog. (I attached the devices directly, still got the error.)
