'Avoid the area': These significant road closures on QEW and Highway 403 in Oakville will disrupt traffic

Drivers are being warned about some major road closures coming to Highway 403 and the QEW in Oakville.

Ontario's Ministry of Transportation said "recurring construction" is behind all the closures, some of which will last until Nov. 20.

With the Ministry and commuters such as Dominik Chevski telling drivers to "avoid the area" through Twitter, here are some of the detailed closures:

QEW eastbound lane closures at Burloak Drive to run nightly Nov. 17-19 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Lane closures on QEW eastbound between Dorval Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard to run nightly Nov. 14-20 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Lane closures on Highway 403 eastbound between Ford Drive/Royal Windsor Drive and Upper Middle Road to run nightly Nov. 14-20 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
