Can "sudo su" be safe?

Retired and living by myself there is little interest or possibility of others accessing my desktop. So is a serious security danger in in keeping a Konsole window active with "sudo su"? I've been eight months using Ubuntu/Kubuntu. Would appreciate and information, suggestions, or questions regarding this.
