Possible Environmental Influences on Wireless Connectivity?

I have a strange issue with my laptop and wireless connectivity.

On some days, the connection will drop, sometimes multiple times a day, but I can always reconnect within minutes, sometimes seconds. (I have checked other wireless devices in the same room during these outages and found that their connections are still working.) Other times, the connection will be rock-solid, sometimes for days at a time.

Because of this, I do not think it's a hardware issue with the laptop (It's a Clevo laptop from Thinkpenguin, so the hardware is all natively supported in Linux). In my experience, hardware issues, once they start, just get worse and don't go away.

The computer is probably about 60-80 feet in a straight line from the router, but there are several walls and a floor in the way. I live in a condo with units on either side of me. I know my neighbors, but I don't know what kit they may have in their homes.

This is not an urgent issue with me, as I have other computers to use; so far, at least, it's a minor annoyance. But I'm curious as to what environmental issues may affect wireless connectivity. Also, if anyone has experience with hardware issues that periodically go away, then recur, then go away again. I'd be interested to hear about that, too.latest?d=yIl2AUoC8zA latest?i=OlAmX9JwtF4:OrUkHOxubKw:F7zBnMy latest?i=OlAmX9JwtF4:OrUkHOxubKw:V_sGLiP latest?d=qj6IDK7rITs latest?i=OlAmX9JwtF4:OrUkHOxubKw:gIN9vFw
