Arizona Cardinals quarterback Colt McCoy is on track to start Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks as Kyler Murray continues to battle an ankle injury, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The Cardinals will likely wait until pregame warmups to officially determine Murray's status, Schefter adds.

McCoy has replaced Murray over the last two weeks, posting a 1-1 record. The 35-year-old completed 71.7% of his passes while tossing one touchdown and one interception over those games. Arizona has averaged 20.5 points per contest with him under center.

Murray, who was among the leading MVP candidates before suffering the injury, said Wednesday he's "pretty close" to returning. The third-year signal-caller has racked up 2,276 passing yards with 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions while adding three scores on the ground.

Arizona also won't have star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins due to a hamstring injury.
