The NFL has moved the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos into the Sunday Night Football slot for Week 13, replacing the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers, according to ESPN's Field Yates.

The Seahawks and Niners will play at 4:25 p.m. ET rather than under the lights.

Kansas City and Denver were slated to play at 1 p.m. ET. The AFC West rivals sit at opposite ends of the division standings, though the Chiefs are only two games ahead in the win column.

Week 13 will mark the Broncos' second prime-time outing this season, but their first outside of the less prestigious Thursday Night Football package. The Chiefs have already played in prime time four times and have a Thursday Night Football game awaiting them in Week 15.

The NFL introduced flex scheduling in 2006 as a way to ensure more intriguing matchups are featured nationally. The league has the power to begin flexing matchups in and out of Sunday Night Football in Week 5.
